Our 2026 Charity of the Year

The Dreckly Boys are proud and deeply honoured to announce The Merlin Centre as our Charity of the Year.

We make this commitment in loving memory of our dear friend, Mike Owen, who sadly passed away.

The Merlin Centre was a place close to Mike’s heart. He loved attending. It gave him support, encouragement and a sense of belonging that meant so much to him.

Mike gave that same loyalty to the Dreckly Boys. His unwavering support and participation helped shape who we are. He was always there with us — in spirit, in voice and in friendship. Strong, kind and quietly determined.

Choosing The Merlin Centre is not just fitting — it feels right. It reflects Mike’s journey, his strength and the community he valued.

Throughout this year, we will raise funds and awareness in his name. Every note we sing and every event we hold will carry his memory.

Because once you’re a Dreckly Boy, you’re family.
